KaraoBe respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This policy explains how we handle copyright complaints under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) and similar laws, and how to submit a notice.

Our approach

We never download YouTube media for preview, and full processing of uploaded or authorized audio requires the user to attest that they hold the necessary rights. If we receive a valid notice that content stored on the Service infringes your rights, we will promptly remove or disable access to the associated stored assets.

Repeat infringers

We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

Filing a copyright notice

To report content you believe infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent at [email protected] (or use the form below) that includes:

• Your physical or electronic signature;
• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
• Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it, such as the project link;
• Your contact information (name, address, email, and phone number);
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages.

Counter-notification

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to [email protected] that includes your signature, identification of the removed material and its prior location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake, your contact information, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court. We may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a legal action.
